Match Report: BSC Young Boys vs VCF (1-1)
Valencia CF and BSC Young Boys played their first official match and in the UEFA Champions League in the Stade de Süisse at 19:00 kick-off time on matchday 3 of the UEFA Champions League Group Stage.
Valencia CF had a good start having possession. Cristiano Piccini had the first chance for Valencia CF in the 5th minute with a shot from outside the box that went high after a good pass from Michy Batshuayi.
BSC Young Boys had the first chance of the game in the 7th minute with a dangerous free-kick which was saved by Neto Murara.
Michy Batshuayi made it 1-0 for Valencia after a corner kick and a great pass from Carlos Soler. The Belgian had another chance in the 37th minute which was saved by the BSC Young Boys keeper.
Ferran Torres had the final chance of the first half for Valencia CF after a great combination from Rodrigo but his shot went wide of the target. The first half finished 1-0 for Valencia CF at the Stade de Süisse.
Valencia CF had a similar start in the second half. Sulejmani had the first chance of the game but his shot went high of the target. Fassnacht had a dangerous shot which was well dealt with by Neto.
BSC Young Boys looked to make it 1-1 and it came in the 54th minute from 11 meters after a foul in the box from Dani Parejo. Marcelino introduced Kevin Gameiro and Francis Coquelin for Ferran and Kondogbia trying to score the second goal.
BSC Young Boys had the control in the second half and being the more dangerous of the two teams which tried to get the win but the game finished 1-1 between BSC Young Boys and Valencia CF. Valencia CF will play again versus BSC Young Boys on November 7th at 19:00 kick-off time.
